	Well there are many reasons but the most common in my opinion is
that usually people do this to influence route preference; by
pre-pending your own AS path several times you effectively make the
route less desirable to use.

perhaps it's trivial question ( if so, please give mi direction to some
source of information); suppose i've received as-path which contains
about 8 as-numbers, four of which are the same; what exactly this could
mean?
