Filtering ASNs and adverts (BGP) at the edge generally is
accepted as a good thing.  The RADB is one's friend.

Protocol/port equivalent, anyone?

(Of course, filtering BGP routes is much easier than filtering
every last packet with forwarding time constraints...)
