Has anyone come out with a fix everything CD customers could use
to clean up their systems? This isn't an operating system specific
issue. Buggy and misconfigured software is running on Unix, Mac,
Windows, etc.

There are lots of partial solutions, e.g. anti-virus vendors clean
up some things but ignore most misconfigured commercial products;
anti-spyware/adware cleans up other things; vulnerability checkers make
long lists of problems but don't fix them. Your computer is broadcasting
its IP address.
