This being a very very very long shot.
Does anyone know of a way to reach an interactive human being at
uhm...

Network Solutions......
Before anyone tells me I should ditch them and move away, that's exactly
what I tried. I moved all our domains away from them, and they seem to have
pseudo-randomly chosen to refuse transfers of some of them, and yes even
ones that have been paid till 2003.
Too tired for this bureaucratic fight....
