Carl, NANOG stands for North American Network Operators' Group. It is for
people who operate the core networks of the Internet to discuss
operational issues. Very rarely does DNS ever become an operational issue
so there is no point in discussing this at a NANOG meeting. Most of the
people on the NANOG list have no responsibilities for registering or
maintaining domain names.
