My suggestion may sound a bit harsh.  Use a decent registrar.  I'm quite
happy with discountdomainregistry.com.  My host records are updated within
a matter of minutes on their whois servers, and with the next day's update
at about 11am EST on the masters.  Honestly, I can't understand why anyone
still uses NSI or NetSol or ....
