In reality, ICANN has had very little impact on the big-8 providers. =
They are not even the first to span RIRs. However, I do find it =
interesting that the reporter found it significant to count the domain =
names under Verio, as if they were assets. Since the name belongs to the =
registrant and not necessarily to Verio, they are not assets of Verio. =
Granted, it does indicate the amount of bandwidth Verio is responsible =
for.
