From the Washington Post:
"Mayor Anthony A. Williams ordered a two-week moratorium on cable
construction under District roadways yesterday, hoping it will give
his administration time to take back the city's carved-up streets from
telecommunications companies."
I've been asked to moderate a panel about fiber cuts and the Internet
in the fall. I would like to include a participant or two from the
new carriers about what steps they take to prevent construction from
damaging existing fiber from other carriers. And then what they do
to protect their fiber from the next competitor installing fiber
in the same street. Anyone from Broadwing, Level3, Qwest, etc?
