Some folks may have noticed MAE-West was a bit flakier than normal
this morning. After about six hours, MCI Worldcom finally returned
our phone calls.
MCI Worldcom was conducting emergency maintenance, and took down some
parts of some gigaswitches. No announcements were sent to customers
before the switches were taken down. Which isn't unusual, I almost
never get prior notification about any MAE maintenance.
