If NANOG isn't developing and publishing BCOPs, what's the point of NANOG o=
ther than a mailing list?=20

Subject: Quick Update on the North American BCOP Efforts=20

Hail NANOGers!=20

After receiving several off-line inquiries about the status of BCOP in=20
North America I think it's appropriate to send a general announcement here.=
=20

The biggest news here is that the current NANOG Board of Directors has=20
disbanded the NANOG BCOP Committee. The stated rationale for this decision=
=20
can be found in the minutes from their 2 February 2015 meeting.=20

es_2.2.2015.pdf=20

As you might expect, I find this extremely disappointing. Our reaction has=
=20
been twofold:=20

1) We're moving to a new home. You can now find all of the current=20
documents at http://nabcop.org. Everything is moving forward, despite a bit=
=20
of jostling. Please jump in and get involved!=20

2) I'm so disappointed by this decision, and the future course of NANOG=20
implied, that I've decided to run for the NANOG Board of Directors. There's=
=20
a really great slate of candidates running, so whatever your decision, I=20
highly encourage you to really consider your selections.=20

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to email me directly, or=
=20
send them to bcop-support@nabcop.org.=20

See you in Montr=C3=A9al!=20

Cheers,=20
~Chris=20
