For EEPROM access in a SFP+ it's I2C with is well documented and used in to=
ns of embedded stuff .. commercial logic analysis tools can handle this pro=
tocol, as can your average $10 Arudrino.=0A=

Of course writing certain parts of the SFP+ EEPROM are "protected" for obvi=
ous reasons but that certainly hasn't stopped people.=0A=
