There are going to be two ICANN sessions tomorrow in the area of coord=
ination of Internet
identifiers: the first one is about "Enhancing ICANN Accountability", =
and the second session
is on the "Transition of Stewardship of the IANA Functions".
If you are interested in the accountability and oversight of the Inter=
net identifier system, you
may find remote participation worthwhile. Attached is details regardi=
ng the sessions and a

ICANN 50 is currently underway in London, UK. This is the largest ICANN me=
eting to date with over 3,000 registered participants. This is in no small=
part due to the important discussions taking place on a variety of topics.=
Two relevant sessions for the ARIN community include "Enhancing ICANN Acc=
ountability" and "Transition of NTIA's Stewardship of the IANA Functions" W=
hile NTIA has announced an intention to transition the stewardship of the I=
ANA functions to the global Internet community, it is now necessary for all=
stakeholders to work together to develop a plan for this important transit=
ion.
I urge you to take the time to listen in and participate remotely in both o=
f these sessions. As part of the larger Internet ecosystem, the ARIN commu=
nity needs to have a strong voice in these discussions.
Both sessions will be held on 26 July.
