We noticed some issues to Google & Level3 DNS last night:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
4.2.2.2

Have not yet determined if it was a local carrier issue.
Someone on outages@outages.org reported issues getting to eBay / Paypal IP's
at roughly the same time.
I wonder if there was a general brief carrier issue last night.
