In the US, Credit card processing networks were forbidden from
prohibiting merchants from establishing certain "minimum charges" to
use a CC, merchants may also charge an extra fee to use a CC; see,
the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection act Of 2010;
S 1075 page 693.
