Take the ex-customer and their immediate upstream providers to small claims=
and sue each of them for the maximum amount for your time and trouble in d=
ealing with the issue. If they don't show, get a judgment and put a lien o=
n their stuff until they pay up.

what I would consider doing in such an instance.
