FFS, David. I didn't say "new gTLDs". I said, rather specifically,
"commercial gTLDs", IE: gTLDs *proprietary to a specific commercial
enterprise*. http:///www.apple
And no, I had not heard *any noise* that anyone was seriously considering
this up until this announcement.
