I think this shows the need for an Internet-wide multicast implementation. =
Although I can recall working on a product that delivered satellite multica=
st streams (with each multicast group corresponding to individual TV statio=
ns) to telco CO's. This enabled the telco to implement multicast at the edg=
e of their networks, where user broadband clients would issue multicast joi=
ns only as far as the CO. If I recall this was implemented with the old Cin=
cinnati Bell telco. I admit there are a lot of CO's and cable head-ends tho=
ugh for this solution to scale.

Somebody should invent a a way to stream groups of shows simultaneously
and just arrange for people to watch the desired stream at a particular
time. Heck, maybe even do it wireless.
