and oresoft was off tektronix.  and m2xenix was off oresoft.  and ...

and unido was ...

so, what's the point?  the uucp network was pretty ad hoc and anarchic,
aside from horrific phone bills.

and anyone who thinks that the fidonet was not hierarchic is not taking
their meds.
