Exactly. Just because the telco charges for ANI service (and maybe it
requires extra cost options in the NAS) is no excuse for not having it
fully implemented and securely logged. Not doing so is negligent
(perhaps not criminally so, but probably enough to get named as a party
to any action against the perpetrators, assuming they can be discovered
without such logs).
