This just popped up - BITAG, the Broadband Internet Technical Advisory =20=

Group, which
apparently has some Google backing. While it does not impact router =20
configuration today, it sure does sound like they
want to in the future.

"For some time now, we=92ve been advocating for the formation of a group =
=20
of technical experts to put forward their best thinking on how to =20
manage broadband networks in ways that still preserve and promote an =20
open Internet. We=92ve worked closely with Verizon and others in the =20
Internet sector to further develop the concept, and we=92re excited by =20=

today=92s announcement that the Broadband Internet Technical Advisory =20=

Group , or BITAG, has begun the process of formally launching."
