I'm not exactly a specialist for wireless, but as far as I remember my
lectures the 802.11 has additional MAC fields for the wireless
source/destination. Stations always send to the AP, the AP retransmits
it to the station.
IIRC WPA/WPA2 even has some protection against stations forging the AP
MAC with the shared group key, but I don't remember any details.
