p; </p> <p>To Earn Points Purchase qualifying products and earn Points! It'=
s as simple as that! Be sure to scan your card or enter your phone number a=
t checkout to earn Points. You can earn multiple Points in a single transac=
tion. There is not a limit on how many times you can receive Points from th=
e same promotion. In most cases, you do not even need to do separate transa=
ctions to earn multiple Points from the same promotion Manufacturer coupons=
and Register Rewards do not interfere with any Points earned. In other wor=
ds, you will still earn Points when using manufacturer coupons and Register=
Rewards. The monthly Walgreens Savings Book coupons are the exception to t=
his rule. They do count against your total. If you are doing a ? Spend X am=
ount of dollars, Receive X number of Points? promotion, you need to meet th=
e specified total before manufacturer coupons but after the monthly Walgree=
ns coupons. Walgreens is a bit more complicated than CVS because of their m=
any varieties of coupons. This guide will teach you how to shop at Walgreen=
s effectively. Walgreens Weekly Ad Coupons: These are coupons found in the =
weekly store ad. They usually advertise a price (ie: Dawn Dish Liquid 99&ce=
nt; ) and most have a limit on how many items you can buy with the coupon. =
You must use the coupon in order to get the advertised coupon price. If the=
coupon says Dawn Dish liquid 99¢ , limit 4 then you can buy 4 Dawn an=
d use the one coupon. Once the coupon is scanned it will subtract a certain=
amount that will make all 4 Dawns 99¢ . If you buy more than the limi=
t then you won't get the sale price for all the items. These coupons can be=
combined with all other coupons. Also, most stores don't require you to cu=
t them out! Just show the cashier the coupon you want to use and they will =
scan it or type in the coupon code.</p> <p>Walgreens EasySaver Catalog Coup=
ons: The Walgreens EasySaver Catalog is found at the front of the store wit=
h the Walgreens Weekly Ad. The front of the booklet has Walgreens coupons c=
alled Instant Value Coupons ? IVC. These coupons can be combined with manuf=
acturer coupons. They usually have a limit of how many items you can use on=
e coupon on but sometimes will work for more than the limit. These coupons =
do not have to be clipped either. *Note ? these coupons do say ? manufactur=
er coupon? but Walgreens treats them like store coupons. Walgreens Register=
Rewards: Walgreens Register Rewards ? RR ? are manufacturer coupons that p=
rint out when your transaction is complete. They are coupons that are used =
on your next purchase. When doing a deal that earns Register Rewards you CA=
N use coupons! Coupons have no effect on the deal. If the Reward doesn't pr=
int then you either bought the wrong items/not enough items or there is a p=
roblem with the system/Catalina machine. Usually the manager will resolve i=
t. When you earn a Register Reward you can use it to buy other items that e=
arn Register Rewards, but not on the same deal. For example: Buy Tylenol fo=
r $3.99, earn $3 Register Rewards. Then buy Gillette Razor for $7.99, use $=
3 RR from Tylenol, earn $4 RR for Gillette. You cannot use the $3 Tylenol R=
R to buy more Tylenol and earn another reward. Using the Reward will cancel=
out the Register Reward that you should be earning. But, you can use Regis=
ter Rewards on OTHER deals earning Register Rewards. Walgreens Balance Rewa=
rds: Walgreens recently rolled out a brand new program (in addition to Regi=
ster Rewards) that is called Balance Rewards. Read all about it over here. =
Coupon Rules: Walgreens registers will not let you use more coupons than it=
ems purchased (excluding Walgreens Ad coupons & IVCs). So, you can buy =
1 item, use an IVC and a manufacturer coupon and it will be fine, but if yo=
u try to use a RR too it will not let you. Add a cheap candy or pencil to y=
our order and the register will accept the coupon. If you want to buy 1 ite=
m you cannot use 2 RRs to pay for it because the number of coupons is excee=
ding the number of items.</p> <p>Coupon Order: The best order to give the c=
ashier your coupons is Manufacturer Coupons, then IVCs, then Walgreens Ad C=
oupons, then Register Rewards. That way there is a possibility for overage =
(not all stores will allow it though). For example: Gum is regularly priced=
$1.19, use a B1G1 coupon which will deduct $1.19 then use the Walgreens We=
ekly Ad coupon that makes the gum 2/$1 which will deduct $1.38 from your or=
der. That means you get the gum free plus 19¢ overage. Walgreens has t=
wo rewards systems, one is an older system called Register Rewards, the oth=
er is the Balance Reward system started September 2012. Walgreens is not ea=
siest of the three drugstores, so take your time figuring this out and star=
t slowly in the stores. If you are a more visual learner then watch the two=
videos below that cover each program. These are coupons that are printed u=
sing the Catalina machines that some grocery stores use. They are Walgreens =
specific coupons (i.e. you can't use them anywhere else).Register rewards a=
re actually coupons given by the Manufacturers of the products that are on =
special that week. For example: You buy Bounty Paper Towels and a $1 Registe=
r Reward prints ? this register reward is provided by Procter and Gamble.Wh=
en you turn around and use your Register Reward, Walgreens will then submit=
that coupon to Procter and Gamble and get reimbursed. What makes a Registe=
r Reward print? Register Rewards are linked to specific products each week.=
Sometimes you only need to buy one item, sometimes it is for buying a certa=
in amount of products. Can I use a Register Reward to buy the same item aga=
in? NO! If you go in and buy an item or items that make a RR print and then=
you try to use that specific RR again to buy the same items the next RR wi=
ll not print. This is how Walgreens tries to ? limit? the number of deals pe=
r person. Example: You buy toothpaste and get $2 RR, you can't buy another =
toothpaste and use that RR to get another RR.</p> <p> </p></td>=20
