If this is true as stated, this is an egregious violation of this
person's right to free speech, which should not be tolerated at MIT.

I would urge this person to talk to Mary Rowe, the MIT Ombudsperson, to
get her to intervene in his/her behalf, and soon.  Generally the best
way to correct these situations is to get some breathing room and give
the situation a chance to cool off, the sooner the better, before positions
harden.
