I try to come here at least once a week on my day off from work with my mom. The sangria is home made and so yummy! The food is also... The Breakfasts are fabulous! My husband and I eat there at least 10 times a week...Many times at breakfast, and many dinners. The waitress and hostess staff... Very pleasant, variety of atmospheres available...We ate outside and everything was scrumptious with a presentation of a true chef...I don't feel a bit guilty... This place is exactly what you think it will be, a buffet of a large selection of Chinese and American food, and plenty of desserts and soft-serve ice cream... I'm a local, I eat here at least weekly. Why? Because the Slate exemplifies perfection in service, food and atmosphere! It is the quintessential local bar... Came in from NYC for a nice MDW and came across this gem! Amazing drinks (strongly recommend the French Pear Martini) and wonderful food. The atmosphere is...
