I dont think it makes sense to shove the Zeiss to the end of the product name, though, since Zeiss is the main reason to buy the product despite how much Fellowes thinks of its ExoLens brand. They should wait until the lenses have actually been out for a while and people have begun to associate the ExoLens Pro with the Zeiss optics. The first Prime lenses, a 0.6x wide angle, the 2x telephoto and super wide angle macro combo, are slated to ship in January 2017 as well. All with be available with mounts for the iPhone 6 6S series and the iPhone 7.
The lenses themselves arent a revolution, but theyll cover most of your photographic needs. The 100 Core Lens kit includes fisheye, 120 degree wide angle and 15X macro lenses that prioritize flexibility above all else. You can get it with a protective case for 120. The 80 Macro Pro set includes 7X, 15X and 21X lenses for extreme close ups, while the 120 Active Lens bundle includes both a 2X telephoto lens and a 155 degree ultra wide lens to capture those outdoor adventures.
The Pro lenses are the same ones Ive already reviewed, so really what the company is announcing is that the ExoLens Pro Wide Angle Kit with Optics by Zeiss (what a mouthful) and the ExoLens Pro Telephoto Kit with Optics by Zeiss starting in December for 200 and 250, respectively. (I dont have UK or pricing yet, but those directly convert to approximately 160 260 and 200 330) The ExoLens Pro Macro Zoom Kit with Optics by Zeiss will ship in January 2017 for 200 (directly converted, about 160 260). That said, these were supposed to be available already, so thats a long delay.
Two out of the three lenses from the partnership between Zeiss and Fellowes havent even shipped yet, but theyre already iPhone 7 compatible; as with the recent announcement from Moment, all it takes to make iPhone 6 compatible lenses that way is new mounting hardware. So as long as the companys announcing future availability of the unshipped product, its gotten a rebranding as well. Now its split into two lines, ExoLens Pro and Prime; the Pro lenses use Zeiss optics, while the Prime line will be the standard consumer ExoLens lenses.
