We were recently in Kilmarnock, Virginia to attend the funeral of a close friend at Currie Funeral Home which is two blocks away from The Rappahannock... Yummy! Food was delicious. Service friendly \u0026 impeccable. The antique decor is so neat. We were here for lunch on weekday. Excellent home cooked food. Shrimp steak, crab cakes, cheeseburger deluxe are all great. Came for Monday wing night. 45 cent wings that were cooked perfectly. They were absolutely delicious. I also received a large portion of fries as well.... Delicious meal. Easy on/off from the highway. The tzaziki is the best I have ever had. Tandoori chicken tacos and coconut shrimp were excellent. The rice... The absolute best beef ! I use to live in Emporium, Pa years ago and we would eat hear every Sat. ..I visited the area last year and this restaurant is good... This is an awesome place. It's got it all from the food, drinks, wait staff, and ambiance. I really enjoyed the outdoor dining area, especially at night... Ate here just an hour ago. I miss it already. But let's begin by clarifying that I did not pay for this meal. My brother brought our mother and myself here... It comes as an astonishment to me that this place is only sitting at 3.5 stars on here. Granted, we dined here on a Monday night during the offseason, but... We went here for my parents 32nd anniversary Friday night because my parents love the place. They were able to seat our party of 6 easily but upstairs. In... Seriously delicious.....Environment: clean, entertaining with animated geese and other bird. Has small gift shop. ..Small sap boiler. ....Food: on my first visit...
