We traveled through the Berkley WV area and stopped here for dinner, read the reviews and thought we might as well try it out. We are extremely glad we... This place is off the beaten path, but WELL worth it. We came just after lunch, around 1:15, and there were only a few other parties. We bucked the reviews... We stopped in Beckley on our way home from the Outer Banks \u0026 decided to try this place as we prefer local establishments. Holy cow, this place is amazing!!... Came here with some friends based on the recommendation of a co-worker. The restaurant itself doesn't look like much, just a storefront at the end of a... Calling this place a rest stop is an understatement. Actually I would say it's an insult. This is an art exhibit, museum, restaurant, retail store all... Little hole in the wall that packs more flavor than the state of WV. ....I am so glad I found this place. In a city with endless chains and fast food... This is a drive in so you order from your car and eat in your car.....I tried the roast beef wrap which contained tender beef, lettuce, and tomato with some... Dined at the Char this evening on our trip between Ohio and Myrtle Beach. Excellent service. Wish we would have thought to ask the name of our waitress.... So happy that they have a gluten free crust. And let me tell you, it was AMAZING! The flavor of it was bold, but good and cooked just right. I ordered it... Best German food you've ever had... if you've never been to Germany, I'm guessing. Perfect place to eat after a night of hiking or climbing the Gunks, or... What a fabulous restaurant.
