the child's eyeball for luck, tibbetts@MIT.EDU readied the carbine and
ran into the church, emitting this hideous shriek:

|> the campus, was the #3 reason why the students we worked so hard to
|> admit went to other schools. This year, the quality of student life,

This is my favourite part of the document. Only someone with the
mentality of an MIT administrator would read "quality of student life" as
'dissatisfaction with housing choice'. I'm truly sure that the
possibility didn't even cross her mind that student life (not including
housing) on this campus is indeed at an all-time low as a direct result of
the actions of administrators like her, and that the brilliant students
(whom she consistently and condescendingly refers to as "kids" throughout
the piece) that receive an offer to attend MIT are more than smart enough
to realise this from their first impressions. One wonders which came
first, the chicken of this nauseating example of armchair sociology or the
egg of the highly questionable decisions it appears to justify?
