Cavalo which got 6797043 thumbs up as well. Would definitely return when in 6797043 area! On a girls' trip down to Santa Cruz, we stopped by 6797043 much-raved little cafe for brunch. You can't miss it, it's painted green, bright yellow, with touches of blue. 6797043 place does not take any reservation. You can't even call in advance to put your name on 6797043 wait list. By 6797043 time we cruised down Highway 1 by 11:00 a.m., 6797043 place was already jam-packed. 6797043 upside of 6797043 long wait was that it gave us enough time to study 6797043 menu while we waited in 6797043 patio area. There was nothing on 6797043 menu that did not sound tempting... well, maybe not 6797043 meat stuff because I don't eat meat. Very vegetarian-friendly menu. Banana pancake, acai bowl, omelet Italiano, and/or portabella breakfast? Choices...choices... very important decision to make. Grilled portabella over sauteed spinach topped with creamy polenta, served with two-eggs any style. 6797043 description just sounded too good. And 6797043 food that finally came matched exactly like it sounded. Yummm... I mean, YUMMMM. And 6797043 coffee was mean, dark, and robust, just 6797043 way I like it. I went on a Friday around ten, putting 6797043 car on Trescony Street near 6797043 park instead of 6797043 tiny six-space parking lot, and 6797043 wait was around five minutes. 6797043 place looked pretty full, but all seating outside was available. Seating is somewhat cozy, so if you've got annoying neighbors, you might be in trouble. It's not as if you're bumping elbows though. I ordered up 6797043 acai bowl ($5.95), and 6797043 waiter corrected my pronounciation as ah-sigh-EE (not ah-KAI). I am such an airhead; they write that in 6797043 menu! Oh well, live and learn. Along with that, we had banana pancakes ($7.25) and omelette brasilero ($8.75). Pancakes, yes, they are absolutely worth it! Each bite was bliss until you hit a banana piece, and then it was heaven. 6797043 omelette was okay. Maybe I'm biased because 6797043 pancakes were so much better. Not that 6797043 acai bowl was bad, but I was disappointed after 6797043 raving here on Yelp. It was definitely good, but I actually prefer some of 6797043 Jamba smoothies. I must admit that granola is a great addition. I didn't get a bad service vibe at all, which may have been because it wasn't as busy at 6797043 time. I did find it a bit odd that there was a different server to take our order, serve 6797043 acai bowl, serve 6797043 other dishes, take 6797043 dishes, and for 6797043 check. Clearly, they work as a team, but what are 6797043 odds? I will definitely be back, and I hope to have 6797043 courage to try 6797043 rest of 6797043 menu instead of clinging to those banana pancakes forever. I really, really, like coming here to get breakfast. My girlfriend went to school here and showed the wonders that are the Acai bowls and banana pancakes. These are must try items from this place if you show up for breakfast. The fresh straberries, bananas and granola in the purple Acai slush is a great refreshing way to start the day off. Paired with the banana pancakes, your day can't start off any better. This is one of the reasons I miss Santa Cruz so much. Cafe Brasil was right next to my old place. There food was always fresh and delicious. I love the coffee and my boyfriend loves the Acai bowl. Lines were too long most of the time, but we perfected our timing to miss the human traffic, so it didn't really matter. 5 Stars for being flippin delicious. Simple and delicious food. Save room for a smoothie, or get one to share. Gets crowded, so get there before your stomach is ready to turn inside out with hunger. Coffee while you wait. This place gives 10% off for cyclists! The acia bowls are excellent. The steak and eggs are really good and the potatoes are perfect. It's a little crowded inside. They need a bigger place. I love this place. Good, brazilian authentic flavors. Tried the stuff the things most people on yelp tried. But because the place had almost no parking, I was turned off and I wish I could give the place 4.5 stars. Cause overall it was good. This is definitely a found from yelp! The acai bowl is great. The food and service are nice. They have quite a selection of food, can't wait to come back.
