Cons: The only cons I have for this place is their wait time (average wait time is around 20 minutes for a table) and that they aren't open passed maybe 230pm. Return factor: Yes, I'll most definitely be back. This is a regular stop over for when I'm in Santa Cruz on a day trip or weekend getaway. Almost always a long wait, but it's always worth it! You can even order coffee and a smoothie or acai bowl and enjoy it outside as you wait to be seated. This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Santa Cruz. It's a little, cute green and yellow house-like restaurant on Mission, so it's really hard to miss especially with the crowd of people always in front. I always order the beef a cavalo. Sometimes I'm torn between that and the avocado a cavalo, so I just add avocado to my beef a cavalo. :) Comes with potatoes on the side and 2 over easy eggs and steak over 2 baguette slices topped with melted cheese. Soo delicious. They also have a lunch version of this, which comes without cheese and with rice and beans instead of bread and potatoes. Their banana pancakes are also amazing, but the best thing they have here is their acai bowl! Still my favorite out of all that I've tried. It's definitely a must! Their service is great too; they're always on top of refilling your coffee and water. I've only eaten Brazilian food once or twice so most of the menu choices were new to me. We ordered the Beef a Cabala, galo pinto with farofa (vegetarian and Costa Rican favorite supposedly) banana pancake, watermelon juice. It was the first time I tried farofa and I thought the flavor was really good but it was too dry for me. I'm glad I tried it though, I love their plantains and my husband really enjoyed his beef dish. I'll definitely come back and try the other dishes. They have a small outdoor patio that only seats in 2 ppl and our server Alison was really friendly. Terrible experience for the price! We came on Sunday morning, and the place was extremely full. Being very hungry, we decided no to wait to be seated and order to go instead. The first hiccup was my my friends' tea, which was handed to them in two ceramic cups and a glass jar full of hot water. We we standing outside waiting for the rest of our takeout order, so I have no idea what were they thinking. We went inside and told them that the tea was to go. The waitress brought two paper cups, but when we poured the hot water previously provided, it was barely enough to fill one cup. The second problem
