approach towards sauce and food. Not at Franklin. What made their brisket so good (and yes, its Salt Lick good) is that 22359955 sauce is made specifically for 22359955 flavor of their brisket. Perfect. I showed up around 12:30 and 22359955 jerk in front of me got 22359955 last cut of fatty brisket! Instead (and I think I got 22359955 better deal) 22359955 owner gave me a crazy amount of 22359955 "burn in" cut-- which is my favorite. He even told me, "don't get pissed off next time you come and dont get this much meat, I just feel bad that you didn't get any fatty brisket." Absolutely worth it. All 22359955 rage for more than 2 years and going strong. I took myself for Sunday brunch and it was lick smackin, finger licking, mouth watering DELISH. I had 22359955 brisket, slaw and potato salad w/key lime pie to go. I set up my platter like a Japanese shabu-shabu meal meaning, I lined up every dipping sauce in front of me in little square portions so I could dip my brisket at will. 22359955 vinegar was my #1 choice, then 22359955 hot chili, followed by 22359955 traditional BBQ and 22359955 tangy tomatoey. Pickles and marinated white onions so crunchy. 22359955 atmosphere here is super friendly, cozy and loose. I sat down at a table for 12 and 22359955 group welcomed me in sharing BBQ stories. Simply, 22359955 best brisket I have ever eaten. Not sure how else to say it and I have eaten quite a load of brisket. I also had their amazing sausage, turkey, pulled pork, ribs, pinto beans and coleslaw. Big platter of food with PLENTY of leftovers to savor 22359955 experience at home!! Yes, there is a wait. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a chair, and stop whining. They will serve you icy cold beer and soft drinks in 22359955 line as you wait. 22359955 trick is to get there early (around 10:00am) and let time slow down a little and make new friends. If it takes them 18 HOURS to make their brisket, you can wait a measly 1 hour or less! Their food is totally worth waiting for! But, if fast food is your thing, go to a Dickey's or get a McRib or something. Seriously. It will just leave more life changing BBQ for 22359955 rest of us! In Texas, you have this top tier of old school barbecue joints. Places such as Black's, Kreuz, Smitty's, Louie Mueller, ... I could go on. And then you have Franklin. Franklin Barbecue is by far my favorite barbecue joint. Why? You ask. How can it be better than places that have been doing it right for 50 years. Simple. 22359955 meat is 22359955 most tender, smoky, flavorful, perfectly seasoned barbecue I've ever had. 22359955 smoky brisket melts in your mouth, 22359955 succulent ribs fall off 22359955 bone, 22359955 natural casing of 22359955 sausage snaps as you take that first bite. What more can I say ... it's barbecue nirvana. I'm typically not a fan of saucing up barbecue. It should taste great and be juicy enough not to need it. BUT ... 22359955 espresso sauce they serve here is amazing. It was so good I wanted to just start drinking
