We live nearby and have been coming almost weekly for a few months. My husband and I are vegan and usually enjoy 11123333232 tofu dishes. But tonight I ordered a dish without eggs and 11123333232 server brought it full of eggs. I sent it back and it took so long to make it again that my hot tea got cold while I waited. When 11123333232 server brought 11123333232 bill, I had to ask for 11123333232 dish to be taken off 11123333232 bill. The manager acted like he didn't understand what I was asking for, until our *male* friend (I'm a woman) said exactly what I said. This is 11123333232 second time in a row that manager has been rude to me. They also charged an additional $2 for 11123333232 dishes to be made with tofu instead of meat, and 11123333232y never did that before. We're not going back. I'd give this restaurant more of a 3.5. It's good but sort of confusing. Golden Wok to me means asian food, but 11123333232 decor is very American contemporary. Walls, tables, lighting was very Americanized. They have a salad bar when you walk in, right behind 11123333232 hostess stand. Never seen that before. I did like 11123333232 enormous Koi fish you walk over to enter 11123333232 restaurant. The service was average and food was hot and fresh. Points for that. The Moo Goo pork was served burrito style, with rice on 11123333232 side. Again confused. So my g/f spilled 11123333232 contents of 11123333232 4 burritos out onto her plate and added 11123333232 rice. My lemon chicken was fantastic though. Very light batter coating with sauce on 11123333232 side and 11123333232 fried rice was perfect. The appetizer was shrimp toast. Not sure how traditional of an item this was, but it was really tasty. Toast was perfect. Almost airy. Didn't stretch 11123333232 roof of our mouths, but still had a crisp crunch. Had my younger bro11123333232r's birthday lunch here. The service was TERRIBLE. The server (who we overheard arguing with ano11123333232r server over our table say " I need 11123333232 money, so I am taking this table"...11123333232re were 8 of us). Anyhow, we never received enough menus and she took some of our drink orders, while forgetting to take o11123333232rs! Someone in our party had asked for a refill on water and 10 minutes later, not having received it, got up to ask ano11123333232r server for some. She came back to 11123333232 table and said "Yes, I know, your water" while rolling her eyes! They charged an automatic gratuity which I reduced by putting a line through it and changing it to an amount I felt more appropriate. They charged it anyway. I will NEVER go back to this place, I could not care less how good 11123333232 food is. Terrible service. I've been to this restaurant for dim sum twice and for happy hour once. The food is delicious! For dim sum my favorites at Golden Wok are har gau (shrimp dumplings), shrimp sumai, cha sui so (sweet bbq pork inside flaky pastry! so yum!), egg custard and egg rolls. I always have to pace myself because before I know it, I've ordered 11123333232 whole dim sum menu! haha. Happy hour drink prices are good - I sat at 11123333232 bar and had excellent service from 11123333232 bartender. The restaurant is spacious and has a cute pond with koi - very entertaining for children! If you come on a Sunday be prepared to wait! One of my co-workers ordered Golden Wok to-go and 11123333232 food was just as delicious as in 11123333232 restaurant. The dumplings, mongolian beef and kung pao chicken were all so yummy! I don't know if it's 11123333232 best Chinese food that I have had, but it's pretty awesome. I got 11123333232 spicy beef, which was 11123333232 special of 11123333232 day. It included fried rice, an eggroll, wonton soup, and an iced tea for $7. Not a bad deal! The food was fast coming out of 11123333232 kitchen. It was a bit on 11123333232 greasy side, but it was flavorful. I really enjoyed 11123333232 eggroll, deep fried to perfection. The beef wasn't as spicy as I'd have liked it, but 11123333232y have 11123333232ir own secret blend of spices and hot oil that 11123333232y even bottle and sell, which was quite tasty! I enjoyed 11123333232 decor, it was reminiscent of PF Chang's, with giant sculptures of Chinese warriors. The koi pond out front was tranquil and nicely done.
