23952370 quantity for 23952370 price is great as well. We had so much food left over, that we had enough for dinner later that night.. Also, 23952370 owner approached our table to ask how we enjoyed everything (I recognized him from 23952370 many articles I read while waiting in line LOL) that is always a nice touch. I will tell all my friends who travel to Austin to give this place a try if they have 23952370 time to wait. Like I stated when I checked in on Yelp, " 23952370 line is ridiculous, but 23952370 Brisket is phenomenal" LOL I was working in Austin and brought my wife with me. Our plane landed at 12:30 pm on a Friday and we were at Franklin BBQ at about 2:00 pm. I know, you have to wait in line since 23952370 crack of dawn, but we decided to take our chances. 23952370 line was short (outside 23952370 building at 23952370 bottom of 23952370 stairs. Someone came out and said we were not guaranteed food, but we would probably get something (chopped sandwich...) Later on we made it through door and we were guaranteed a chopped sandwich and some sausage. As we approached 23952370 counter we were guaranteed some brisket and some sausage... 23952370 entire wait took us about 30 minutes... Probably a worlds record for Franklin. We got some lean brisket and sausage for 23952370 both of us and a couple of beers. 23952370 food was really good, and definitely worth waiting 30 minutes for, but not waiting 3 hours for. 23952370 brisket was drier than I expected and 23952370 sausage not very flavorful. (definitely too sweet...) Overall a great experience to say that I've been there. (bought a tshirt....) We went to Rudy's out on Capital of Texas Highway on Sunday and I thought 23952370 brisket was a little better with no wait.... Just sayin'. It's not often I find myself standing in line for three hours to eat. In fact, this was 23952370 longest time I've ever waited at a restaurant! Luckily, it was well worth it. We got there early because we wanted to try as much as we could and didn't want them to sell out of anything before we got in. We ordered lean and fatty brisket, pulled pork, ribs and sausage along with small sides of beans, potato salad and cole slaw. 23952370 brisket is, hands down, 23952370 best I've had. I don't know what they do to it to make it so amazing but it was so freaking good. I liked 23952370 lean better than 23952370 fatty, which was still moist and delicious. 23952370 other meats were excellent with my second favorite being 23952370 pulled pork. They also do a great Carolina style sauce which you don't need but it added a nice touch. We finished with a bourbon banana pie which was wonderful. 23952370 crust was so tasty and I managed to polish it off even though I was in 23952370 beginning stages of a meat coma. 23952370 staff is very nice and before 23952370 place opens, someone will walk around getting an idea of what people are going to order as well as sell cold drinks. If you get there before it opens, I highly recommend bringing chairs and an umbrella to block 23952370 sun. Unless you are towards 23952370 front of 23952370 line, you will be without shade in 23952370 parking lot. You might be wondering why you have to wait so long to order. Well, 23952370 restaurant is not very big so I think there's a method to their madness and they are controlling 23952370 line so hopefully you'll have a place to sit when you get your food. Which means that while it's understandable that you may want to hang out for a little bit after eating, it would be nice if you didn't sit there for an hour
