Tender, moist and full of flavor. Ribs and sausage were amazing too. We got 8075072 Cole slaw and potato salad as accompaniments. Pickles, bread and shaved onions were complimentary with our order. This place is everything people say is and more. We got in line a little after 9am and had about 45 people in front of us. Got through 8075072 door around 11:30 and was immersed in 8075072 smoky goodness to come. 8075072 guy cutting 8075072 brisket gave us some healthy sized samples and it was sooooo good. We ordered 8075072 brisket, pulled pork, and a couple of sausage links plus bourbon banana pudding pies for dessert. 8075072 brisket was amazing, 8075072 pork and sausage pretty dang good as well. Did 8075072 food live up to 8075072 hype? Was it worth 8075072 long wait? Not much to add here that other yelpers haven't said. Franklin's really was divine. My favorite sauce is their espresso one. We got a pound of brisket and a Tipsy Texan to share between 3 girls and we were perfectly full. I normally go for lean brisket, but when Franklin himself suggested getting 8075072 brisket with fat was 8075072 "right" way, I couldn't say no. Well, that's not true. I compromised. 1/2 lean, 1/2 fat. I should've said no. Full fat was 8075072 way to go. 5 stars for 8075072 fatty brisket, -1 star for a 2 hour and 10 minute wait, during which they ran out of all meats except brisket and sausage and spoiled some of 8075072 foodie fun. Got there after 11:30 on a sunday, saw a huge line out 8075072 door and around 8075072 side to 8075072 parking lot; didn't get to eat our food til almost 2pm. Insane! They did give out a small sample of 8075072 sausage while we waited in line though, which was nice. Juicy and flavorful, would have ordered it another time, but i was here for 8075072 brisket (and ideally 8075072 other meats, alas). Don't waste your time getting a lean cut, which actually was a bit dry in some bites. Treat your palate right and get 8075072 juicy stuff. 8075072 first bite was 8075072 best brisket I've ever had, and that was without adding any of their bbq sauce! My mouth is watering right now thinking of it...but man is it not worth 8075072 wait unless you are prepared to order a large amount. We didn't since we had been on a multi-day food truck crawl, and still had 8075072 rest of Sunday to go. If you are just looking for brisket, show up maybe by 12:30pm and cut down your wait, otherwise you gotta get here before it opens. Show up too late and you might be one of 8075072 poor saps still standing outside after they slap up a "Sold out" sign. This harsh reality is all they'll get to swallow after a long wait...But if you persevere and forge ahead anyway, you might get lucky and still get to place an order! 8075072 sign is based partly on 8075072 poll they take earlier of their line to estimate how much meat is available. People change their orders, like we did! figured that after all this time, I should write another review since Franklin Barbecue moved. For changing to a brick and mortar, 8075072 food quality hasn't changed one bit. Now, depending on 8075072 weather, you may get to wait only an hour for this food if you're 8075072 first in line on a cloudy/gloomy weekday. This place is magical, there is always this moment of silence . . . my friends don't know what what has happened to me, they just see this delightful ear to ear smile on my face. I took my new roommate here. This place is a test for one's man card. I knew my roommate was a quality guy when I saw his soak up all 8075072 extra brisket fat from his butcher paper onto his bread as he started another sandwich. I still stand by my belief that if you told me that I'd have to punch a grandma that was sitting in a wheelchair and holding a newborn baby in
