getting everyone through 5787765 line. Overall, worth 5787765 wait! Great food! and Aaron is there to talk to you, he is a genuine nice guy and loves his job!!! That is why this place is so great! say, make sure to get there early.. They only make a certain amount of BBQ everyday. Its also nice if you're one of 5787765 first 30 people in line because it means you have a place to sit and eat at a table. We were one of 5787765 lucky ones while 5787765 rest were stalking 5787765 edges with their plates looking for a table. I visited this place while on a road trip. I originally saw it on i think a travel channel special on 5787765 best BBQ of Texas. It does not disappoint if you are looking for great tender pieces of flavorful BBQ. I got a plate full of brisket, ribs, slaw, and pinto beans. I like this option because it meant you got to try most of 5787765 menu items. When getting 5787765 brisket, they ask if you want 5787765 fat side or 5787765 leaner side. Being 5787765 curious foodie, I got both 5787765 fat side and 5787765 lean side. Trust me when I say, 5787765 fat side is so much better. Who cares about 5787765 extra calories. Its so much more juicy and has a lot more flavor than 5787765 lean side. 5787765 ribs were pretty good too. It was super tender and fell right off 5787765 bone, but if I were to ever find myself in Austin, I'd definitely go for an all fat brisket plate. I also tried 5787765 pecan pie. it was average. when i asked 5787765 cashier which dessert i should get, he was refreshingly honest and said none of 5787765 above. He said "we're known for our BBQ, not our desserts. they're just regular." I still got one cause I need sweet after every meal. he was correct. it wasnt bad, just average. Really not saying anything here that probably hasn't been said in various ways over 700 times for this place. Went here today with two out-of-towners who have been meaning to try this place for a few years now. So understand that this is a PROCESS, like getting in line for 5787765 summer rollercoaster at Six Flags. Yes, 5787765 wait is like 1.5 hours for 30 seconds of awesome. Don't dock this place a star because you had to wait in line. You should already know this. It's part of 5787765 experience! You talk to people in line, share snacks, stories, make friends. Arrived on site at 10am to find a LONG line, we found out 5787765 first person had arrived there at 7:45AM!!! Wow. We got our food and ate at 1:30pm. There were some guys behind us who brought their WiFi hotspot and laptops and sat down and were working. Good planning! Brisket and ribs were hands down probably 5787765 best I've ever had! Sausage was good, but WAY too greasy for me. I know, I know, it's sausage, and should be fatty, but wow... too much for me. Turkey was also very good. morning (or any morning). If I have people who want to go, and I had 5787765 time, I could be convinced. It is definitely an experience. But to gain about 15% better BBQ than 5787765 competition, (bad ROI for me), 5787765 time investment isn't worth it to me. I could go to a dozen other spots, still get very decent BBQ and be in and out within 30 min. 5787765 Takeaway: Go for 5787765 experience, and you'll be rewarded with AMAZING food. Don't go because you are hungry (though you will be by 5787765 time you get to 5787765 front). And especially don't go if you don't want to wait. Oh also, did I mention that it's now 7pm, and I am just waking up from my food coma... so yeah. Be prepared for pretty much dedicating a whole day to '5787765 Franklin Experience'. Well, here it is...my first 5-star Yelp review. Nota Bene: nothing is perfect, but Yelp doesn't offer scoring of quarters or halves so be it. In my cross-country odyssey for some of 5787765 best BBQ 5787765 states have to offer, I would
