sausage (oh, god, 2023663 sausage) doesn't mean they weren't special in their own right. If you want to get ribs, get ribs. you won't be disappointed. Now, for a second, I want to talk about 2023663 wait. It's long. It's tedious. Bring beer. I actually ate breakfast tacos when I got in line... at 9am. That being said, I think 2023663 wait was part of 2023663 experience. It wouldn't be 2023663 same without 2023663 wait. It's feels like a sort of tradition... a holdover from simpler times when this was just a bbq joint in a trailer. You may not be willing to wait (because you have terminal cancer? I dunno) but there's a shortcut. You can always order ahead and get your food as early as 10:30 without having to wait in line. I think there's a minimum for that but, hey, there's a premium to cut in line. all you need to know is that 2023663 brisket is worth 2023663 wait... apparently 2023663 line started at 6:30 am (4.5 hour wait until opening time).. my wife and i got there are 9:45 and we didn't eat until 2:15 (4.5 hours until eating).. thankfully i was able to satiate my hunger with beer and a sandwich while i stood in line for lunch.. although 2023663 wait was somewhat brutal due to 2023663 heat.. 2023663 fact we had plenty of cold drinks as well as an umbrella to shield us from 2023663 sun made this food mecca well worth 2023663 visit.. Last Friday (April 12), I went with a few friends to try Franklin's brisket. We arrived around 8:30AM, and we were third in line. 2023663 wait was not a big issue since I had 2023663 opportunity to chat with friends. Plus, every once in a while 2023663 wind would pick up and we could smell 2023663 smokey goodness of 2023663 BBQ pit. Right at 11:00AM 2023663 doors open, and we were allowed in. Each of us ordered a pound of 2023663 moist cut of 2023663 brisket and a sausage link, and my friends also ordered 2023663 potato salad. We sat inside because it was too windy outside. There is limited seating inside, so arrive early if you want that good seat, too. 2023663 moist cut is definitely fatty and juicy. For me, 2023663 best part of 2023663 brisket was 2023663 bark. It was rich in flavor--peppery and juicy. 2023663 other parts tasted like any other brisket. I liked 2023663 sausage 2023663 best. It was also quite juicy (and greasy), but it had a nice smokey flavor. 2023663 sauces they had were also quite good. I liked mixing 2023663 coffee-based and 2023663 vinegar-based sauces to create a sweet and spicy mix. In terms of 2023663 potato salad, if you like pickles, this is 2023663 salad for you. Along with 2023663 usually potatoes, pickles were mixed into 2023663 salad. I was not expecting this, and I was not a huge fan of it. In 2023663 end, be ready to walk away feeling greasy and full. Personally, I would not be up for 2023663 3 hour wait. I would prefer just going to Rudy's and waiting
