<font style="color: #FCFCFC">With terrorism fears heightened following the discovery of another plot to blow
up a plane using an underwear bomb, the American Civil Liberties Union
is trying to have one of the governments tools against terrorism ruled
unconstitutional. The no-fly list has been around since 2003 and has grown to
roughly 20,000 names, including about 500 U.S. citizens. Its maintained by the
FBIs Terrorist Screening Center, which also keeps a terrorist watch list with
more than 500,000 names. The ACLU filed suit in 2010 and will argue
this week the case should be heard in U.S. District Court in
Portland. In the modern day, air travel is absolutely fundamentally important to
how we travel on a daily basis, says ACLU attorney Nusrat Choudhury,
and that right to travel is protected by the Constitutions promise of
due process. The case involves 15 plaintiffs who are all U.S. citizens and
Muslims. They argue the government refuses to explain why they were put

sophisticated new type of explosive device, on Monday. Rogers said the information
was leaked as far back as two weeks ago, though the story
was held until this week.Information continues to stream out about the plot,

veracity of some of the details still being reported about the operation
-- without offering specifics. He said the leaks could challenge the U.S.
relationship with its intelligence partners overseas."These leaks are dangerous and could lead
to someone's death," he said.Rogers said he's conducting a "preliminary review," and
questioned whether someone "may be trying to put this in a political
narrative to help their politics."Other
President Barack Obama has threatened to veto a Department of Justice appropriations
bill House Republicans passed because, among other things, it includes a provision
that blocks a gun control law his administration used Operation Fast and
Furious to pass. The Obama administrations Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
wrote, and began implementing, a new rule that would require gun dealers
in the four U.S. states that border Mexico to report sales of
multiple semi-automatic rifles to the ATF.In the 2013 fiscal year budget for
the Department of Justice and related agencies, House Republicans inserted a rider,
or condition, that would force the ATF to not implement that rule.In
a statement the White House released upon receiving the House appropriations bill,
the administration threatened it would veto the legislation because of that ATF
rider, among other things. In the statement, the White House called that rider
