<font style="color: #FCFCFC">A Florida pastor considered to be President Obama's spiritual adviser says he
was disappointed by the president's decision to publicly announce his support for
same-sex marriage. The Rev. Joel Hunter told MyFoxOrlando that the president called him
before his announcement aired. Hunter, the evangelical pastor of the 15,000 member
Northland church in Longwood, said the decision makes it harder to support
the president though he will continue to do so."I'm disappointed, not entirely
surprised, because he thinks with his heart," Hunter said."He knew where I
stood, because I'm an evangelical and I believe in what the scripture
says. One of the reasons he was calling was to protect our
relationship and give me a 'heads up' on an interview he had
just done," Hunter said. "It wasn't something we were able to talk
through, or I would have talked him out of it."Hunter said he
told the president that he disagreed with him.Click here to continue reading

AMMAN, Jordan A U.S. State Department official responsible for refugees says
Washington has allocated $40 million to assist relief organizations aiding victims of
the Syrian crisis.Anne Richard, Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and

inside Syria and in surrounding countries, including Jordan. She says Palestinians and Iraqis
in Syria will also benefit.Richard told reporters on Thursday in Amman that
she discussed contingency plans with Jordanian officials. She declined to provide details. She
also said that Washington was easing a backlog on Iraqi refugees seeking

isconsin in charge," Walker said to his supporters.Labor is spending big money
in this race -- $7 million came from labor, according to the
latest financial disclosures. The Democratic Governor's Association is also weighing in though
they are sly about it. They contribute money to the Greater Wisconsin
Political Fund, which produces some of the most negative ads of this
campaign. However, Republican governors are weighing in through a PAC called Right Direction. As
broadcast outlets profit and Wisconsin viewers are bombarded with partisan messages, even
the chair of the State Democratic Party Mike Tate admits the party
has lost control of the message. He was recorded telling volunteers, "It's
not the party that pays for the ads. It's the candidate's money
and a lot of the money is from third party groups that
we can't talk to at all."Mordecai Lee, professor of government affairs at
the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, says that is the new reality in politics.
