Outing gives rise to issues of privacy, choice, hypocrisy, and harm in addition to sparking debate on what constitutes common good in efforts to combat homophobia and heterosexism. A publicized outing targets prominent figures in a society, for example wellknown politicians, accomplished athletes or popular artists. Opponents to LGBT rights movements as well as activists within LGBT communities have used this type of outing as a controversial political campaign or tactic. In an attempt to preempt being outed, an LGBT public figure may decide to come out publicly first, although controlling the conditions under which one's LGBT identity is revealed is only one of numerous motives for coming out.The term "outing" can also be used to refer to the disclosure of other kinds of information that might be considered private, such as minority religious beliefs. In the culture of hacktivism, the practice of outing private information is called doxing.[citation needed]The term "outing" can also be used to refer to the disclosure of other kinds of information that might be considered private, such as minority religious beliefs. Curtis is a writer and children's book author from Minnesota.Margarinotus brunneus is a species of beetles belonging to the family Histeridae.Germelshausen is a 1860 story by Friedrich Gerstcker concerning a cursed village that sank into the earth long ago and is permitted to appear for only one day every century. The protagonist is a young artist Arnold who happens to traverse the locale at the time for the town's appearance. He encounters, and becomes smitten with, a young woman Gertrud from Germelshausen. The romantic tale ends with his leaving the vicinity just in time to avoid being entombed with the village and its denizens, but thereby being sundered from his love forever. The basic concept is an old German motif that appears in works of Mueller[disambiguation needed], Heine, Uhland and others. The curse may affect a town, a castle or even a single house, but the narratable content remains largely unchanged. The basic concept is an old German motif that appears in works of Mueller[disambiguation needed], Heine, Uhland and others.
