I tried a few fresh oysters and we shared an appetizer that had pulled pork over crostini topped with fried oysters and yellow raisins. I highly recommend that and was pleasantly surprised to learn I do like fried oysters after all. Plus the raisins and pork/oyster combo came out tasting like a really savory tuna melt.
My salmon fillet was huge. It was such a nice portion and was perfectly undercooked. It was pink and juicy in the middle and slightly flaky on the outside, served atop red beet farro with green grapes and watercress. It was a great combo of fresh and rich flavors and I cannot imagine a better entree!
We sat at the bar because it was the first available, and, while our tight little stool space right by the main door felt cramped at first, we were thrilled to get first hand view of the raw bartender shucking oysters while we ate.
