I am very overdue in writing a review for Maude considering that I've dined at nine seasonal themed dinners last year. The press for Curtis Stone's restaurant speaks for itself and I agree with the press that the food is incredible. Yet I presume that the food writers haven't dine as much as I have at Maude, which makes my opinion a little bit different from what you've read from the press. So here are my general thoughts of dining at Maude.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee.

So you ask, why do I keep coming back for more? Well, I admit that I very rarely eat at the same restaurant regularly, but after my third dinner at Maude (morels), I was intrigued to try more seasonal dinner themes. My decision had nothing to do with its talented celebrity chef and the creativity of the dishes, but rather the fact that no other restaurant in Los Angeles was gutsy enough to dedicate itself to exclusively to serve only a prix fixe seasonal menu.

Another reason why I kept returning, was the service. At Maude, the courtesy and professionalism from the staff has been very, very consistent. It's a busy 25-seat restaurant with an early and late reservation seating. When it gets busy, the energy level is high and no one has time to "shoot the breeze" as there are always things to do. As a matter of fact, I've never once saw the General Manager or any of the Servers breakdown the quality of their service to the customers especially those customers who have had a little too much wine and the obnoxious loud talkers.

Then there are the little things that count. For example, my dinner party is always at least four people. I noticed that when the food arrives, our plates are laid onto the table simultaneously. I have also found that the water glass is always full without having to ask, napkins are folded when you come back from the restroom, and the table is cleared without you knowing it. These tiniest of details at Maude have made a lasting impression on me too.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee
