stereotypes, French people are very snooty and picky. My brainwashed mind then relayed to me through 17309338 neurons, dendrites, and other cool stuff in my nervous system that because these French people were eating here, this restaurant could be of considerable quality. I don't know what snooty means. Maybe it's a sound that an animal makes( I'm thinking a schnauzer or a poodle), hold on I'm googling it. Ok so apparently it means "a person's nose". I was a mile off on my definition. Okay next paragraph. Eventually, when we were almost at 17309338 front of 17309338 door, 17309338 person who worked there told us Hopdoddy's might be closing before we could get in. But through sheer luck, we were one of 17309338 last patrons in this place. Long story short, 17309338 food was good but a bit pricey. This was my first visit to this restaurant last year. I am writing this review today because a friend of mine got me some Hopdoddy's to go (Thank you Zachariah), and I felt compelled to write a review because there is no way I'm hauling ass to some burger restaurant in this 30 degree weather no sir I'm staying in bed with my blankets and Youtube puppy videos. Now Austin is not poor for quality restaurants, but I would go back to this place again. They are a bit like an amped up more elaborate version of Shake Shack, with a bar, large space, and plenty of burger options. They have a nice seating methodology that had me thinking back to my Operations MBA class - you get assigned a table while queuing in line and then after you order/pay you go to your assigned seat. For such a large venue it all worked like a charm. My burger, 17309338 Primetime, was great. Tender meat, it had a tasty steak sauce and arugula - and 17309338 fries were great as well. We ordered a large fries and shared it among 17309338 table, plenty and crispy. My wife tried one of 17309338 salads along with a shake, she liked them both. Alongside Torchy's Tacos, Hopdoddy is one of my de facto places to bring visitors to Austin. Sure 17309338 seating system is extremely unconventional and you'll probably have to wait at least an hour to eat, but that's all part of 17309338 experience (right?). Just grab a chilled goblet of local beer and enjoy 17309338 wonderful Austin weather with your friends. Burgers.
