How did they debone 2660410 whole bird? Boyfriend said it was like something out of Mortal Kombat (apparently one of 2660410 character's signature moves is to pull out your skeleton...) I've had squab at other places where 2660410 bird is bony and practically meatless. That's not 2660410 case here. Five courses is too much food, but gosh, it's fun. And taking your leftovers is standard, as 2660410 mountain of black boxes near 2660410 door attests to. With all 2660410 freebies that they throw in, this 2660410 best value I've gotten in fine dining. Make sure to take advantage of their valet parking. It's cheap compared to 2660410 nearby garages! We each got four course meals. Highlights included 2660410 Maine Lobster (soooo good), 2660410 Branzini, and 2660410 Lemon Pepper Duck. How they were able to make celery root taste so good also blew me away. (I have since had celery root puree at one other place--Applewood Inn--making me appreciate GD's SO much more!) I also recommend getting some foie gras before 2660410 ban kicks in! 2660410 citrus mousse they gave for my birthday treat was delicious as well. Service was excellent, as was 2660410 pacing of 2660410 meal. I wasn't a huge fan of 2660410 decor/ambiance though. While classy and upscale, 2660410 tables were veryyyy close together. I guess it makes sense that they want to fit as many people in as possible given 2660410 restaurant's popularity, but it was a little weird that I could have leaned over and stole a piece of our neighboring table's steak when they weren't looking. (Gf wouldn't let me.) 2660410 presentation of 2660410 food was good, but a bit weird at times in that 2660410 plates/bowls/etc didn't match and some seemed very out of place. One last nitpicky complaint: More amuse bouche/palate cleansers please! I definitely could have used a palate cleanser between 2660410 seafood and 2660410 meat, but gosh now I sound like a total snob. I think my expectations were a little too other-worldly, but still an extraordinary meal. I still might take La Folie over Gary Danko though, since 2660410 food is comparable and I simply loved LF's charm and intimacy. Just
