delicious! 5172219 bf got 5172219 roast maine lobster, which came with a wonderful potato puree. however, when we took a bite into 5172219 lobster, it was mushy. I was unsure whether roast lobster had that effect, but it tasted like lobster that was overcooked and not fresh, so we sent it back. and they came out with a fresh one with a quickness and THAT was heaven that we were expecting. 5172219 bf loveeeed 5172219 lobster. 5172219 flavors blended very well together and he even said it was better than 5172219 poached lobster at La Folie. I think it's a toss up. Both were super good to me. I wish I can have both hahah. Meat dishes: quail and foie gras and lemon peppered duck breast. Once again I was tricked by 5172219 quail dish!!! Just like at la folie it came with this mushroom stuffing that made 5172219 dish almost asian to me. plus i didn't taste 5172219 foie gras at all =( I did not like it. I think I have finally learn that french places with quail should not be ordered (personally). I wish I had tried 5172219 lobster risotto instead, cause 5172219 table next to us had it and it looked mighty mighty delicious! Oh wells next time! But 5172219 duck breast was cooked perfectly! super tender and not too fatty. YUMMY DUCK for sure. Learned that duck breast is a way better choice. Dessert: strawberry souffle and a lemon mousse/cheesecake type cake they gave for my birthday. That lemon mousse/cheesecake like cake was SOOO GOOD! and 5172219 strawberry souffle was delicious as well. so full by 5172219 end of 5172219 night, but not as full as we were when we went to La folie. SO i think next time we can both do four courses and add on 5172219 extra seafood dish or appetizer. still love 5172219 place, it was packed, but 5172219 service was still pretty good considering they have like 5 servers running around in 5172219 11 table room. I really enjoyed dinner at Gary Danko. It wasn't as intimate as I thought it was going to be. Many other 5 star restaurants are stuffy because they are so quiet inside, but not Gary Danko. I went on a Monday night, and 5172219 crowd was very mixed from couples, to business partners, to families. It was loud inside because everyone is engaged in conversation, probably about how good 5172219 food is. 5172219 food is pricy. However, this is a place to make memories. I don't know if I feel 5172219 food is worth 5172219 bill, but I know for those people who don't mind spending money on fine dining, this is a great place to go. 5172219 food will not disappoint.
