which was nice. 11109763 feel is fancy, in a stuffy formal way, but I enjoy that from time to time. We wore dinner jackets, shirt and slacks. No ties. Generally 11109763 crowd was business casual attire, which works for us. 11109763 food was overall good, however inconsistent. My fried egg with grits, pancetta, and frisee was a nice appetizer, and I marveled that they deep fried an egg without coking 11109763 yolk. 11109763 grits were over salted (you have to season knowing it will cook down and intensify), but had a good, thick texture. In my second course, 11109763 bass was overcooked (dry!) and underseasoned, but 11109763 gnocchi it came with were some of 11109763 best I've ever had. 11109763 pork tenderloin and cheeks were cooked perfectly, though 11109763 plating was a bit messy. 11109763 jus was a very rich pan sauce, which is good since 11109763 tenderloin had a mild flavor. My husband's duck was good, with a similar preparation to my pork. His dish came with a duck hash that was mushy and too salty, unfortunately. Dessert! I couldn't help but order 11109763 chocolate souffle. They poke a hole and pour in creme anglaise and chocolate sauce. It was as light as aerogel, but unfortunately too delicate in texture and flavor for me. My husband's beignets with coffee pot de creme, however, were wonderful. I ended up eating most of both, since he was too full. As we started our dessert courses, they brought out some little treats (mignardises?) that were excellent, though I wish they had come after 11109763 dessert course...Which is why 11109763 rating is so low: BAD SERVICE. 11109763 food is worthy of a solid 4 stars, but 11109763 service was comically bad. 11109763 main source of our problems was 11109763 waiter, Seamus. I can be obnoxious, but my husband is very nice and polite. Yet Seamus was not nice at all to him. No attempt to recommend dishes to us. I had put 11109763 wine list down on 11109763 table, and when my husband asked if there were any non-alcoholic drinks, he just said, "on page 5" and walked away. At a decent restaurant, 11109763 waiter might wait for you to peruse 11109763 half dozen options and pick one, and at a good restaurant 11109763
