with me that Gary Danko is their favorite fine dining restaurant. So if you wish you have a wonderful dinner some evening or you have a special event to celebrate, try Gary Danko Restaurant. You won't be disappointed!! Gary Danko...you still got it & we still want it!! We've been four times & 15457823 food is always consistently decadent, delightful & delish! And 15457823 service is always top notch! Probably SF's most affordable higher end Michellin rated restaurant that we'll keep coming back to again & again (& we have)....& yes...I think I will always order 15457823 Lobster Risotto because it always results in a foodgasm! Gary Danko makes me try new things too! I don't eat fish really but I've loved two of their amuse bouches that were fish & I tried some of my bf's foie gras last nite, which I've been afraid of, but it was so tasty! Forgive all 15457823 exclamation points, but it's Gary Danko for crying out loud, so it's much deserved! 4.5 stars. Menu is very creative and diverse. Service was excellent--prompt, friendly, water and bread always full, new silverware at every course. Noisy. Four people with 2 of us having alcohol $450 without tip. Recommend 4 course because 5 is too much food. Lobster risotto was better than lobster Maine, as most yelpers said; game hen was really dome well to our surprise...better than duck (large portion), bison (okay), filet (ordered medium rare but it was overcooked so it went back and yes, i got a butter knife), and pork belly (good but I have had better but did not like pork tenderloin). Scallops were fine but small with just 2 and not special. Ahi Tuna was excellent but too salty. Striped bass was good portion but not that flavorful. Louisiana butter cake was just a really sweet muffin although it was good--chocolate souffle would have been better. Free little tiny morsels of dessert and cake with candle if it is your birthdays. Great pineapple cake to take home. Dinner reservations @ 9pm was earliest we could get, but did not eat until close to 10pm. We left close to mid night. Sequencing of courses depends on what course you order. I had appetizer, 2 seafood, and 2 meat whereas everyone else had dessert course in their meal so I ended up eating a meat dish by myself so we would finish eating at same time. We had a huge lull between my last course (meat) and dessert (everyone else's last). Fancy toilet paper wrapped I paper with Gary danko's name and sticker in bathroom.
