got there 10 minutes early for our reservation but they still welcomed us in and sat us right away. The ambience was perfect. I felt like I was in a wedding, with all the fresh flowers surroundings us, candles everywhere, the lighting and mood was just right. I won't elaborate on the dishes we had, because there are already so many reviews on here. I will just say that what we appreciated most about this establishment was that although it's clearly a fine dining establishment, the waiters/sommelier were all very friendly and kind (nothing annoys me more than a snobby waiter), and I love that they're so flexible with their tasting menu. I can't imagine there are many other restaurants of the same caliber out there that would allow you to choose 3-5 items of whatever you want off the menu (be it 5 apps or 5 entrees, etc). We loved the seared ahi, lobster risotto, grilled lobster with potato puree, scallops, and chocolate souffle. My husband said his bison was good, but not great. I dressed up, and was really worried about being underdressed even then, but it really is business casual (at most) and there was a table of guests near us who were dressed like you would have on laundry day back in college. Not cool, but whatever. We had a great experience here and would definitely return. Rules of thumb to have a good evening at GD: make reservations 2 months ahead of time by phone (don't waste time with that online form), don't drink & drive but if you must drive there is $10 valet, take a picture in front of the sign before dinner because your stomach will be plump and bulging afterwards (portions are not skimped here), bring a bottle of wine ($40 corkage but worth it because their wine is marked up $$$, although they do have a very extensive wine list if you'd like go big to impress your date), go with the seafood dishes and avoid the meat and fusion dishes unless that's your thing (but if they have the sweetbreads, GET EM), order all lobster dishes, do 4 courses (5 is overkill, 3 is
