thoughtfulness of 10497726 chef and 10497726 staff gives it 5 stars. Gary Danko was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family alike. Since I don't live in SF, I try to come here whenever I'm in town. 10497726 food is as good as I remember, and service is absolutely top notch. We had 10497726 private room for 10497726 eight of us, and not only was 10497726 setting intimate and cozy, 10497726 service was attentive without being intrusive. 7 out of 8 of us did 10497726 wine pairing, and 10497726 one girlfriend that didn't was talking about how she is literally allergic to alcohol and could never enjoy a fancy glass of wine. 10497726 sommelier overheard her, and he brought out a special fancy bottle of european grape juice! We didn't ask for it, he didn't charge us, but it was such a nice gesture, and she said it was 10497726 best grape juice she had ever had. :) It's things like this that makes Gary Danko just a little more special than other fancy restaurants, imo. I LOVE their lobster risotto, and their glazed oysters are superb. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're ever in SF... worth every penny, in my book! Sooooo disappointed. Gary Danko has 10497726 most hype of any restaurant in SF. Yet every dish that came across our table was 10497726 bare minimum for this price point. Sure there were a lot of "mm good"s, but for a restaurant that is supposed to be noteworthy, not once did anyone in my part of 4 went "omg, this is fantastic". We all got 10497726 four-course tasting with appetizer - fish - meat - dessert. I added a cheese plate to mine to share. 10497726 food reminded me a lot of my meal at Fleur de Lys last October...which lost its michelin star for 2013. Watch out GD...10497726 food here is solid. Clearly they have well-experienced chefs in 10497726 back. Nothing was innovative, nothing was a surprise to our palates. Service can be give-or-take. We started with waiter who could barely understand or speak english (could not figure out my
