It's kind of hipster, kind of divey, clean, delicious, with generous portions. I've only gotten one grouchy day from the owner(s?) out of a handful; otherwise the guys are usually nice and talkative. My co-workers and I have been here at least a handful of times now and we're always satisfied. Most recently we went on a Friday, as a co-worker again reminded us that Fridays are rib days. Delicious, fall-off-the-bone ribs!! For lunch!! You know how the Mean Girls on Wednesdays wear pink? On Fridays we eat ribs.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee

<p><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><span style="font-size: 12px; color: #f4f5f5;">I love it when a place lives up to its hype. Work & Class is that sort of place.
We went to Work & Class for my birthday dinner and it was fabulous. We expected a wait and there was one, even early on a Wednesday evening, but it wasn't long at all. They took our cell number so we could go to another nearby spot for drinks, and despite the warning of an hour wait, we got a call after just 20 minutes... not bad at all.
I knew going in that the food was likely to be fabulous, but the big surprise was how utterly fantastic their service was, from every employee we met. Every single employee at W&C was friendly, smiling, helpful and just amazing - from the host to the wait staff, the bussers and the cooks. We sat at the chef's counter where we had a great view of the dining room and kitchen, and every single employee stayed busy but kept their cool, and all seemed happy to be doing what they were doing. I can't express enough how much that general good vibe helps when you're trying a new place. We loved it.
Every bite of food we had was fantastic, and we had plenty of different menu items. Once seated we were given some chickpea croquettes in a strawberry jam sauce, which were creamy and delicious and the perfect way to start the meal. We also started with some blue corn empanadas which were delicious, served with a smoky tomato dipping sauce. For our meal we shared a few different entrees, sides and breads: pork, lamb, brussel sprouts, twice baked mashed potatoes, jalapeno cornbread and fresh made corn tortillas. All of it was delicious, but the big surprises were the lamb, which was was insanely good and cooked perfectly, as was those creamy, cheesy twice baked potatoes. We finished off our meal with a piece of Mexican Banana Cake, topped with fresh, creamy coconut ice cream. We washed everything down with some tasty cocktails made with their in-house simple syrups. Yum!
Perhaps our big takeaway from Work & Class was that the prices were very reasonable for all the delicious, varied food we sampled. This is not a place that needs to be saved for special events, and now that we've gotten a taste of their menu we'll plan to be back often.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee
