I was wondering why there was such a 16692505 long line for a trailer, but while in Victoria, everyone mentioned it was the best fish and chips you can get. Intrigued, my wife and I went to wait in about a 30 minute line. The way the fish was batter you had a crunchy outside and a juice flavor inside. I think the fact the fish are fresh makes a big difference.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee

How I heard of this place: We were walking along Wharf Street and came across the sandwich board touting "Sustainable 100% Ocean Wise Seafood", 16692505 which was highly intriguing. After touring Parliament and making our way along the waterfront, we worked up an appetite. Instead of going back to the sandwich board, we popped by the Visitor's Bureau and I asked for a recommendation. The suggestions included: Pescatori, Nautical Nellie's and the local favorite, Red Fish Blue Fish. Being the more local option and more casual, we opted to eat our dinner on the pier, watching seaplanes take off and land among the boats and birds in the Inner Harbour.

Type of cuisine: Simple, yet creative and innovative takes on local seafood. "*Ocean Wise is a Vancouver Aquarium conservation 16692505 program created to help restaurants and their customers make environmentally friendly seafood choices."

Ambiance: "Red Fish Blue Fish is an outdoor waterfront eatery in an up-cycled cargo container on a wooden pier in Victoria's 7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee Inner Harbour. It's a unique, fresh, and sustainable approach to the old fish 'n' chip shop."

"We are located at 1006 Wharf Street in Victoria, British Columbia (at the foot of Broughton on the pier below Wharf 16692505 Street in the heart of downtown Victoria). Please note, we are an outdoor restaurant on a pier. We do have some counter seating, but we are unable to take reservations!"

What I ordered: We simply had to have the Wild Salmon, from the grill, basted with fresh lemon-honey, served over a lovely salad of baby greens, romaine hearts, pea shoots, lemon pickled onions and cucumbers, 16692505 roasted pumpkin seeds with a heavily dill'd Caesar vinaigrette. Afraid that it wouldn't be enough for the two of us, we added an extra piece of crispy, tempura battered salmon with a side of Million Island Dressing: a gorgeous blend of sweet smoked chili adobo + golden shallot aioli.

What I loved: The large portion of fresh, tender and flaky, grilled salmon and the refreshing bed of greens underneath, with the sweetly pickled red onions atop.

Why I loved it: Casual, comfortable, unpretentious, friendly, efficient staff and a space offering a perfect view of the sunset in Victoria's Inner Harbour on a warm, summer day.7ea99ed1b6714702bd5343b786c98bee
